Tallow
Spending the summer up on the Summer pasture, you don’t need much – but the few things you do need should be reliable. The wind, sometimes lot of rain, the sun, and long days with cattle and mountains take a toll on the skin. That’s why I started making my own cream.
Tallow, a time-honored skin remedy made from rendered beef fat.
Our ancestors already knew about the nourishing properties of tallow. Properly rendered, it’s rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, absorbs well, and offers lasting protection – without leaving a greasy film. It’s especially skin-friendly because the structure of beef tallow is similar to the natural oils in our skin. For dry, cracked, or weather-worn skin, tallow is a natural and effective alternative to industrial creams.
